Currybu Home

You might wonder, “What is currybu.org?”

currybu.org honors the caribou, the North American reindeer.

Unusual caribou facts:

Their coats have two layers of fur, a dense woolly undercoat and a longer overcoat consisting of hollow, air-filled hairs.

They are strong swimmers. Their coats add buoyancy.

The tendons in their feet click and the sound is very distinctive as they walk.

Inside their noses is an efficient heat exchanger, warming the air on its way in against the hot air being breathed out.

There is a heat exchanging circulation system for their long, thin legs. The circulation through the legs is up to 50 degrees colder than the circulation for the rest of the body.

They are capable of sleeping in water.
